She walks in and lights up the room.
She walks in and he smiles.
He looks at her adoringly.
She walks in and...
and he changes.
She becomes his only attention. All eyes on her.
You sit there…listening, watching with peripheral eyes
Because you know if you look up face on,
The knife in your heart will slide deeper.
He doesn't do that to you.
Why doesn't he do that to you?
Is it because you're being judged for past 'mistakes.'
Is it because you're both shy when it comes to expressing how you feel?
Or is it because he just really just doesn't see you that way?
So, you sit there...
you sit there
you continue to look with longing in your heart.
